Innovative energy solutions for the operation of UWB
The university is moving towards long-term climate neutrality by transforming its energy system. Key steps include:
- Development of the UWB Energy Concept, which sets out specific milestones for the transformation.
- Gradual increase in the use of our own renewable energy sources.
- The introduction of transparent energy monitoring, which will provide data for improving management, motivation for savings, and environmental reporting.
Climate change education
UWB develops educational programmes focused on the causes, impacts, and solutions of climate change. The transition to low-carbon energy is understood as a complex process, involving technological, economic, social, and environmental aspects. Key activities include:
