Sustainability in development projects

Every development plan at the university is assessed in terms of its impact on the environment. UWB is committed to using only those resources that are in line with the principles of sustainability, and to avoiding projects with a disproportionately negative impact on nature.

Supporting education in sustainability

The university actively supports the development of new courses focused on sustainability, social responsibility, and related topics. It emphasizes interdisciplinary co-operation and a comprehensive approach to teaching, so that students acquire broad knowledge and practical skills.

Evaluation of graduate profiles

UWB regularly evaluates the profiles of graduates of its study programmes from the perspective of social responsibility and sustainability. The university is committed to not creating programmes that could contribute to the deterioration of the environment, and on the contrary, to developing fields with the potential for sustainable development.

Spreading the principles of responsibility into the business environment

The university uses its educational activities and social role to promote the principles of sustainability and responsible management. It passes these values not only to students, but also to partners from the business sector, and other areas.

Support for research in the field of social responsibility

UWB creates conditions for multidisciplinary research focused on social responsibility, and motivates its employees to implement projects on this topic. The university actively disseminates research results among both professional and lay audiences.
